MRR rights explained

Last time we looked at PLR or Private Label Rights, today we are going to look at MRR and what you can and can’t do with it.

If you purchased master resale rights to a product, you can choose to pass on those rights or not, so MRR is more versatile than PLR.

MRR or Master Resale or Resell Rights gives you the option to resell without master resale rights. That means that your customer can sell the product but their customers cannot resell it.

However, if you sell your customer master resale rights, they can resell and give their customer to option to resell too. You can offer the resale rights as an optional extra, thus generating more revenue from your purchase.

Master resale rights are available for ebooks, videos, scripts and software. As with PLR, you should always check the terms of the licence very carefully. They do differ as you can see from the following licences:

This one does not allow you to give the product away.

Yes – You may resell this product. Suggest retail price: $17-$47.

Yes – You may sell/pass resell rights/master resell rights to this product. If doing so please include this license for your customers.

Yes – You may edit the sales page.

Yes – May add to a paid membership site.

Yes – You may add this product to a paid package.

No – You may not give away.

No – You may not sell private label rights. 

However, this allows you to give the product away.

Yes can be sold

Yes can sell resale rights or master resell rights

You can add the product into your product bundle or package and sell for a higher price

Yes can be added to a paid membership site

You CAN give the product away for FREE

You CANNOT offer the product as a bonus to another product you are selling. However, you can offer other bonuses to this product when selling.

You CANNOT sell the product on auction sites such as eBay.com

You CANNOT use nor sell this product in a dime sale event, under any circumstances at all. An event that constitutes a dime sale is one whereby the product starts selling at a very low price and increases every dime after a certain time frame or with every purchase using the dime sale script.

Some MRR does not allow you to change it and some specifies that you may not use the trademark of the author, so be careful not to contravene the terms of the licence.

What is PLR? PLR stands for Private Label Rights. PLR is content that you can buy, rebrand, edit and generally use as your own content (excluding copyright).

It can be useful when you find it difficult to constantly come up with new content.

You can edit and change it into posts on your blog, convert into articles, use for a newsletter in an autoresponder or re-sell.

However, not all PLR rights are the same, in fact I had an ebook that was for private use only. I also have a PLR report that I can giveaway or sell, but can’t alter.

On the other hand, some PLR has unrestricted rights such as this one:

Unrestricted Private Label Rights

[YES] Can be sold

[YES] Can be given away

[YES] Can Be Edited Completely

[YES] Can be offered through auction sites.

[YES] Can sell Resale Rights

[YES] Can sell Master Resale Rights

[YES] Can sell Private Label Rights

[YES] Can be added to membership sites

Basically, you can do anything you want with these themes.

As each licence differs from author to author, it is essential that you really read the terms of the licence thoroughly.

Is Article Marketing Worthwhile?

Is Article Marketing really worthwhile? Quite a few successful online marketers started out with article marketing. However, a while ago sites like Squidoo, HubPages and article directories suffered from the Google ‘slap.’

The reason for this was to stop all the crappy content and generally improve the quality of content.

Several successful online marketers get excellent results on Google. One even had her article ranked higher than her sales page using article marketing.

Article Marketing helps to build your brand awareness. It also builds your credibility. You become a published author and it is a great feeling when your first article is accepted.

There is a wide variety of topics to choose from when writing articles and this can be really useful if you have several different niches.

One of the things I like about article marketing is statistics. You can check how many people view your article, how many click on your link and how many ezine publishers publish your article.

You can also view keyword statistics. This tells you what keywords were typed to land on your article. This is very useful information and you can now utilise those keywords on your blog posts and future articles.

Some marketers don’t like article marketing, some do. Quite a lot of them started their online business doing article marketing. I love it, so I will continue to write articles.

How to upload images and float text

Today we are going to look at uploading images and floating text. Uploading images is easy enough, but it took me quite a while and some help from very helpful people to be able to type around the photo or image.. I actually used bits of two lots of information to figure it out and get it right.

To upload an image, click on upload/insert just above the icons and you will see this screen:

Click on select files then click browse. I usually put the image I want to upload on my desktop. It makes it easier to find if you have a lot of files in your documents folder as I have. Click on the file you want to upload, then click open. The image URL will appear . Click upload and then you will see this screen.

Scroll down till you see the image details.

Name the image and tick the boxes for alignment and size, scroll down and click insert into post and your image will upload.

 As with everything, it is easy when you know how, but when you don’t, it can be so frustrating and time wasting. I have aligned one image right and one image left and have been able to type by the side of both of them.

4 More ways to generate traffic

This is my second post on ways to generate traffic.

 Opt in forms

Offer a free report in exchange for an email address.

Also, make sure that your opt in box is prominently displayed, peferrably ‘above the fold’. Above the fold means having it displayed in the top half of your sidebar so that people don’t gave to scroll down to find it.

Giveaways

Join giveaways as a contributor with a free product in exchange for an email address. You can also add an upsell. Upgrades are usually reasonably priced.

YouTube

Create a video and upload to YouTube with a link to your squeeze page within the video.

WSOs

Warrior special offers are a great way to generate a list. Offer a product at a special price  and offer 100% commission. This isn’t free, but can be very productive.
